Felix Koo, director of automotive aftermarket, Schaeffler Trading (Shanghai) Co., will service as 2013 vice chairman.
Vautrin succeeds Alex Ashmore, director of aftermarket Asia Pacific, TRW. Ashmore been promoted to a new position in TRW’s European operations and is stepping down as CAF chairman after serving three years.
The CAF recognized Ashmore during the organization’s third quarter meeting for the CAF’s many achievements during his term of office, which include:
- Increasing CAF membership by nearly 33 percent
- Launching its first industry event, the CAF Breakfast & Briefing
- Strengthening CAF’s partnership with TecDoc to develop the Super Catalogue for the China aftermarket industry
- Increasing CAF’s leverage with leading trade shows in China
- Bolstering CAF’s relations with U.S. government officials
- Enhancing market research resources for members
The CAF will co-organize the upcoming 2012 Automotive Aftermarket Summit, slated for Wednesday, Dec. 12, during Automechanika Shanghai. The group’s Q4 meeting will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, in conjunction with the trade show. Details will be available soon at the CAF Web pages.
