TRW Automotive Aftermarket’s business in North America added to its coverage by including new 2015 model year vehicles. This news brings the company’s total market coverage in North America to more than 97 percent.

“Our customers need to have the right parts readily at hand when they are needed. With our in-depth understanding of a complex market, we make it a priority to be first to market with new references,” explained Mark Thorpe, TRW’s product & marketing group manager, TRW Aftermarket, North America. “By making sure that our range extensions are both timely and appropriate, and by listening to our customers to ensure that we get the right mix, the market can have complete confidence in TRW.”

With a range of more than 860 SKUs, TRW now provides premium friction material for a number of the latest models, including: 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Tahoe, 2015 Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2015 GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, 2015 Mazda 6, and 2015 Volvo V60

Thorpe added: “TRW is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of original equipment (OE) safety systems and we bring all of this expertise into our aftermarket range. Our main objective is to support our customers with the highest quality product and to ensure the safety message reaches every level of the supply chain.”

TRW said it has used its engineering expertise as a leading OE brake systems manufacturer to ensure the brake pad program offers the most suitable friction formulation for each vehicle application to help optimize safety and performance. TRW offers installation hardware in the box, facilitating optimal installation and on the road performance.

TRW said its friction material is made from a formulized mix of ingredients to facilitate a stable friction coefficient and offer excellent braking performance in hot or cold temperatures, at high or low speeds and under difficult or challenging conditions. Providing an offering of chamfered, slotted and shimmed designs, the range comprises ceramic and semi-metallic brake pad sets. For a quieter and more comfortable drive, TRW said its brake pads are fitted with premium shims, which act as a damper between the friction material and the brake caliper.
