PurePower Technologies names David Shrader VP of sales, marketing

David Shrader joins PPT after a long career at IMI Precision Engineering and Borg Warner Automotive, where he served in senior leadership positions in sales, engineering and business development since 1997.

PurePower Technologies® (PPT), a leader in the engineering and manufacturing of new and remanufactured diesel fuel injectors and turbochargers for OEMs and the aftermarket, announced that David Shrader has been appointed vice president – Sales and Marketing. 

Reporting to President and CEO Jerry Sweetland, Shrader will be responsible for leading all sales, marketing and business development activities, and pursuing new market channels to expand PPT’s customer base.

Shrader joins PPT after a long career at IMI Precision Engineering and Borg Warner Automotive, where he served in senior leadership positions in sales, engineering and business development since 1997. Most recently, he was Director of Engineering and Business Development at IMI, holding a pivotal role in all aspects of new product development for the company’s commercial vehicle sector in the Americas.

“Approaching our first anniversary as an independent company, David joins PPT as we continue to advance our business performance and enhance our customer satisfaction,” said Sweetland. “He has vast global experience in all aspects of strategic sales, marketing and business development to the OEM and aftermarket commercial vehicle markets, and will be a welcome addition to our senior leadership team.”

Prior to joining IMI, Shrader progressed through managerial roles as executive program manager, business unit manager, and engineering group management with Borg Warner Turbo Systems from 1997 – 2006. He started his career with Volvo Trucks North America in 1987 serving in numerous engineering and product management positions. Shrader holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a Master’s Degree in business administration from Montreat College.
