The redesigned retail store will also feature a multitude of new design elements and strategies both inside and out. The store’s new exterior offers a softer, more distinctive appearance, with stone masonry and hardwood accents adorning the building and signage. These design elements carry through to the store’s interior, which features a wide range of improvements.
Inside, the new store will incorporate an easy-to-navigate layout, replacing old store-length isles with product neighborhoods, which includes a section for organization and lifestyle products. This arrangement enables customers to comfortably move about the store, as well as quickly locate any number products – from motor oil to iPad accessories. Further improvements to the store’s interior include an enhanced customer lounge for customers waiting on vehicle repairs and service. The new lounge will feature aesthetics and amenities on par with many high-end dealerships, including free high-speed Wi-Fi access.
“The new store represents our increased commitment to providing our customers with the best experience,” said Mike Odell, Pep Boys President and CEO. “Not only will this new approach allow us to better serve our customers, it will also help reshape how people think and feel about auto repair – eliminating the anxiety often associated with car repair.”
Further details on the redesigned Tampa, Fla. Pep Boys retail store as well as site’s Grand Opening will be released in the coming weeks. For more information on Pep Boys or to find the nearest location, visit www.pepboys.com.
