Hahn Automotive Warehouse Inc. and its affiliate Auto Value stores ran a promotional program in the first quarter called “The Auto Value Rock-n-Roll winter special” to beat the winter blues where the winner would receive a custom painted Gibson guitar.
Hahn enlisted the help of legendary NASCAR artist, Sam Bass from Charlotte, N.C. Bass is known in the racing world for artistic portraits of Dale Earnhardt Sr., Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and many more of the best know drivers in the sport. Bass also happens to be a guitar aficionado and has designed and collected guitars for much of his career.
NGK Spark Plugs was quick to get on board with the creative idea of having their logo custom painted on to the guitar to be used in the promotion. The finished product featured a pearl white metallic background, NGK Spark Plugs metal flake red logo on the body along with the Auto Value Parts Store logo incorporated into the neck. The guitar was packed in the Gibson hard case, autographed by Bass and followed up with a certificate of authenticity.
The lucky winner was Hunt’s Auto Service in Ithaca, N.Y. Hunt’s is a family-owned business that was established in 1967 and is a member of the Auto Value Certified Service Center program. On hand to receive the guitar was Brian Hunt. “We have a great relationship with our Auto Value store due mainly to their service. It was a nice surprise when we found out we won the NGK guitar. Great promotion,” said Hunt.
