MOTOR Information Systems has enhanced their Estimated Work Times for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
This updated dataset provides customers with long-trusted labor times, now mapped to nine-digit Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS). Additionally, the data adheres to the Auto Care Association’s Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard (ACES), including the Product Classification Database (PCdb). These new features allow for simplified tracking of maintenance and repairs, linkage between labor times and associated parts, acceleration of the quote process and more.
The enhanced labor times are delivered via MOTOR’s secure, web-based Data as a Service (DaaS) platform, designed for simplified retrieval of information. Because light-, medium- and heavy-duty data are all now available through this platform, users can access information on all desired vehicle classes from a single, comprehensive location.
“We are always eager to introduce new data solutions to the heavy-duty market,” says Jeff Nosek, MOTOR’s Executive Vice President, Revenue. “This particular dataset has broad applicability; with real-world labor time estimates created by industry experts, these new data features offer fleets, dealership and shop management system developers, parts retailers and others the ability to better track and audit vehicle repairs at system, assembly and component levels. It also enables users to link labor to parts catalogs for estimating and e-commerce needs.”
For over 50 years, MOTOR has set the industry standard for labor times and is pleased to deliver this same, trusted data with improved integration capabilities. For further information on Heavy-Duty Estimated Work Times, DaaS, please visit tryhdlabor.motor.com.
