Matco Tools’ new Maximus provides the automotive industry with a solutions-based diagnostics and information tablet. Matco recently added the Maximus diagnostic tablet to its product lineup offering technicians a fast, complete scan tool to handle everything from on board computer diagnostics to repair, all without leaving the vehicle.

Maximus provides a true tablet experience, complete with industry-leading features. It is a fully functioning diagnostic tool, capable of everything from pulling codes to diagnosing the most complex problems, while also functioning as a tablet computer with Windows 7 operating system. Technicians can navigate through menus at lightning speed, access repair databases quickly and run multiple applications while diagnosing vehicles. And with easy, one-click Wi-Fi updates, users can always have the most current software in as little as 45 seconds on a single car line.

Matco’s Maximus is designed with features that include a large, 9.7" In-Panel Switching (IPS) touch screen, built-in camera, VGA and HDMI video out, audio out and multiple USB ports along with Wi-Fi B/G/N and Ethernet. The tablet uses Wi-Fi for Internet and Class 1 Bluetooth to connect to the vehicle for faster, flawless fixes and no-hassle connectivity.

More than just a scan tool, Maximus is also compatible with optional enhancements, including a 4-channel Lab Scope, a Sensor Simulator, J2534 Passthru Device and a Battery Tester, making it a go-to for true, state-of-the-art vehicle diagnostics.

Maximus comes with a rugged outer-case molding and solid state hard drive that offer maximum protection, a built-in battery and docking station, and a 30-day free trial of Direct-Hit from Identifix, which notifies the technician of vehicle-specific repair information and known fixes automatically, right on the screen.
