Five shops were selected this year to be added to the Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper Service Center Advisory Council, a collection of North America’s top tier shop owners who are appointed to advise the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance on business matters critical to shop owners.
They are Ross Colket (Colket Automotive Technical Services, Landsdale, Pa.), William Nalu (Interstate Auto Care, Madison Heights, Mich.), Alain Robert (Ste Agathe Service Centre, Ste-Agathe, MB), Justin Barrett (Barrett Automotive, Cornelia, Ga.), and Brett Bohlman (Highway 7 Service Center, Newell, Iowa.)
The council consists of 10 active members. Each member of the council serves a two-year term with five new members selected every year. The council attends a three day face-to-face session where they advise on essentials to shop owner success. The meeting includes a tour of host company Dorman headquarters in Colmar, Pa.
Members of the council are asked to attend meetings and to consider industry trends and how the repair business will be impacted by those trends. Additionally, they provide input and guidance to review and develop any new programs related to Certified Service Centers and provide direction to the Alliance Sales and Marketing Committee and Alliance headquarters’ staff.
Members act as a representative voice of all Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper customers in business matters related to service centers.
