Federated Auto Parts has become a Gold Lifetime Trustee of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation following a recent donation made to the foundation in honor of Larry Sills, executive chairman of Standard Motor Products and inaugural “Jack Creamer Leader of the Year” award recipient.

“At Federated, we believe that education and training are critical to the future success of our members, customers and the industry as a whole,” said Rusty Bishop, AAP, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “We recently inducted Larry Sills into the Federated Vendor Hall of Fame because he shares the same passion for learning. It was only fitting that we make a donation to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation in his name to acknowledge his commitment to education and demonstrate our continued support of the foundation’s mission.”

The Gold Lifetime Trustee designation is reserved for those donating $250,000 to $499,999 to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. Federated joins the following organizations in this elite category of donors: Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), Dayco Products, Gates Corporation and Tenneco Automotive.

“The University of the Aftermarket Foundation thanks Federated Auto Parts for their generous donation in honor of Larry Sills,” said Tim Lee, MAAP, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “Federated has been a well-known proponent of education since the group was first founded by Art Fisher and Rusty Bishop. Their long history of supporting industry education coupled with this most recent contribution to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation are a testament to that fact.”
