Cloyes Gear and Products has expanded its product line in Mexico with the introduction of three high performance timing sets.

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Cloyes Gear and Products has expanded its product line in Mexico with the introduction of three high performance timing sets. Cloyes, designing and manufacturing high performance timing components for nearly 50 years, bring its experience and product knowledge to Mexico with the introduction of its Heavy Duty Timing Sets, Race Billet True Roller Timing Sets, and Street True Roller Timing Sets.

“We continue to hear from our customers in Mexico the demand for our high performance aftermarket timing sets,” said Claudio Del Pozo Cosio, general manager of Cloyes in Mexico. “After much research, our product management and engineering teams developed a thorough go-to-market plan with three high performance sets that cover many of the high performance applications in Mexico.”

Cloyes Heavy Duty Timing Sets supply performance and reliability. The set’s cam sprockets are machined from cast iron, and the Heavy Duty Timing Sets are available in single or double roller versions and offer .200-inch (for small blocks) or .222-inch (for big blocks) diameter double roller chains.

Cloyes Race Billet True Roller Timing Sets feature sprockets machined from premium billet steel on state-of-the-art CNC equipment to ensure the highest quality and consistency. The sprockets are induction-hardened and oil-quenched by our in-house, multi-stage heat treat process. Cloyes Race Billet True Roller Speed Sets are offered with a choice of 3-or 9-keyway crank sprockets, providing multiple valve timing settings, and include a Cloyes Premium True Roller chain, which features full roller action and superior strength. These sets are hand-matched to qualify center distance and runout, ensuring peak performance.

Cloyes Street True Roller Timing Sets offer a new level of true roller advantage for the value-driven racer. These sets include precision-machined, cast iron cam sprockets and induction-hardened, billet steel crank sprockets. The crank sprockets have three keyways for timing adjustment while the chains are rugged, double-row types with oversized .250-inch true roller chains that deliver long life and reliability.

After developing and patenting the first True® Roller Timing Set in 1970, Cloyes revolutionized the high-performance timing market and has continued to innovate with timing system components such as the Hex-a-Just® True® Roller Speed Set, the Quick Button™ Two-Piece Timing Cover, and Z-Series Racing Chain.

Cloyes now offers 12 high performance timing set part numbers in Mexico, ranging from Big Block Chevy to Small Block Ford applications. For a complete list of available part numbers, visit the Cloyes website at cloyesdynagear.com.mx.
