Centric Parts names new executive management personnel

Centric Parts has hired key new staff members to bolster the company’s executive management team to keep pace with the company’s steady growth.

Centric Parts, a manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket brake components and systems for import and domestic cars and trucks, has hired key new staff members to bolster the company’s executive management team. The move is being made to keep apace of the company’s steady growth, as Centric continues to expand the scale and scope of its North American operations.

“In order to better manage our growing operations and planned future growth, Centric Parts is continuing to enhance its corporate management team by adding key positions,” according to Centric President and CEO, Dan Lelchuk. “We are building a deep and strong bench.”

The new team members include Sal Bora, Steve Hansen, Greg Hernandez and Gilbert Loy. Sal Bora has been named VP of Operations, Steve Hansen has been named Engineering Manager, Greg Hernandez is the new Director of Business Systems, and Gilbert Loy is the new Quality Manager.

Having earned his B.A. from Virginia Military Institute and an MSA from Central Michigan University, Bora went on to manage all aspects of operations - manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control, production control, engineering, quality, testing, HR, shipping, receiving, warehousing, budgeting and finance - with organizations involved in the high-tech manufacturing of consumer and commercial electronics, avionics, airframe, defense, medical class III, industrial, automotive, and E&I industries.

Bora has a proven track record of profitable performance for companies valued up to $4.0 BIL, using Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Black Belt processes and overseeing as many as 3,000 employees accross multi-site/multi-country locations in USA, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Italy and France. He is also proficient in Italian, Spanish and Romanian.

With a B.A. from Kettering University, a Master of Science from MIT and an MBA from University of Michigan, Hansen also brings with him four decades of experience in the automotive industry including time with Ford, GM and Mahindra.

Hansen’s experience and expertise includes engineering management and staffing; organization design; engineering development process design; engine design, combustion, simulation, and testing; electric and hybrid powertrains, batteries, and integration; materials and applications including plastics, metals, and composites; electronics and applications including controls, telematics, and circuit design; thermosciences including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer; and other engineering disciplines including CAE and CAD.

With a B.S. from Cal State, L.A. and an MBA from Cal State, San Bernardino, Hernandez has served as a Programmer, Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Applications Development Manager, Security & Change Control Manager, Disaster Recovery Coordinator, Network Support Manager, Director of Applications Development, IT Director, and an Information Technology Vice President.

His expertise includes IT Resource Optimization; Project Management; System Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Enterprise-Wide IT Initiatives; System Implementation; Project & Program Management; Technology Resource & Asset Management; IT Service Delivery; Performance Optimization; Risk Identification & Mitigation; IT Budget Administration; ITIL Fundamentals; and Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity.

Having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University, as well as ASQC Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Greenbelt, ISO Certified Lead Auditor, TS16949 Certified Auditor, AS9100 Certified Auditor, IPC610 Certified, 8D & 5 Why, APQP, PPAPS, AIAG, MSA, and Lean Manufacturing certifications, Loy brings with him decades of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Principal Quality Engineer and Operations Manager in the Aerospace, Medical and Automotive industries among others.
