AASA launches 'Supplier Essentials' weekly e-newsletter

Jan. 1, 2020
AASA launched on its new weekly e-newsletter, “AASA Supplier Essentials,” a source of thought leadership, industry trends and information for full-service automotive aftermarket suppliers.

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) launched on May 13 its new weekly e-newsletter, “AASA Supplier Essentials,” a source of thought leadership, industry trends and vital information for full-service automotive aftermarket suppliers.

“Beginning today, our weekly e-newsletter ‘News @ AASA’ became ‘AASA Supplier Essentials,’” said Bill Long, AASA president and chief operating officer. “This is much more than a name change, AASA Supplier Essentials will become our member’s source for information on the issues and trends that affect their business decisions,” Long explained.

The content of “Supplier Essentials” will be thought provoking, compelling and impactful for the supplier. Each month, Long or one of the senior leaders at AASA will introduce a new theme such as globalization, product diversification, or growing brand identity.

“Our members have many sources of news in the aftermarket – but none are focused solely on the aftermarket parts supplier,” said Bill Hanvey, AASA vice president and executive editor of “AASA Supplier Essentials.” “Every business Monday, ‘Supplier Essentials’ will spotlight those topics that are relevant specifically to the supplier community.”

“Supplier Essentials” articles will address:

  • Big picture views of the aftermarket and the trends that are driving the issues
  • AASA’s advocacy efforts at both the federal and state levels
  • Industry research and analysis of the aftermarket’s headwinds and tailwinds
  • How to more effectively use data in everyday business decisions
  • Insights into financial management and trends
  • Sales and marketing topics that are shaping the aftermarket today
  • Analysis of emerging trends and current news that will impact the aftermarket

“AASA Supplier Essentials” subscriptions are free to all employees of AASA member companies. For details on submitting editorial content or advertising, contact [email protected].
