LAS VEGAS — NGK gave back to the industry at AAPEX on Wednesday afternoon, making a $10,000 donation to the University of the Aftermarket.

Mike Schwab, vice president of aftermarket sales and marketing, presented the check to school in a press conference at the manufacturer’s booth. He says that this is not the first time NGK has given back to the industry, citing many other instances in which it has made charitable contributions.

“But this time though, we’re supporting our industry,” he says.

Schwab says education like Leadership 2.0 and other aftermarket education programs at the University of the Aftermarket keep improving the industry and moving it forward.

Keith Pretty, president of Northwood University, says the donation will be put to good use at the university.

“We’re looking forward to putting to use, as you say, helping the industry move forward,” Pretty says.
