“A real professional, Max comes to us with an incredible background of experience, knowledge and success, which includes time served at key brand names such as Berryman, CRC, and most recently, Blue Magic,” says Jim Moffitt, Bar’s Products vice president of sales and marketing. “I am thrilled he was persuaded to join our team.”

Douglas has a long record of successfully increasing sales and building market share for a number of leading aftermarket companies. In addition to holding sales and marketing management positions for some of the industry’s leading brands, he also spent many years working for one of the largest and most-respected manufacturers’ agencies in the United States. This experience provides him with great insight into what commission-only manufacturers’ reps go through on a regular basis, he says, enabling him to work closely with them to meet mutual sales goals.

Douglas is a member of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) and the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA). He has served on many product and marketing boards, as well as several manufacturers’ rep councils. He has earned numerous manufacturer and customer awards, including being named sales rep or manufacturers’ rep of the year by various companies eight times.

Douglas attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and the University of Maryland (European Division) in Chateauroux, France. He is a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

Douglas and his wife Rita live in Houston, Texas. They have two adult children, Scott and Melissa.
