ZF Services announces promotions

ZF Services has promoted Ben Marcell to the Key Account Manager for Retail Accounts for the Automotive Technology Group in North America.
ZF Services, the strategic aftermarket business unit of ZF Friedrichshafen AG promoted Ben Marcell to the Key Account Manager for Retail Accounts for the Automotive Technology Group in North America. They also named Mark Cali the Product Management and Marketing Manager in North America.

Marcell started with ZF Services in 1999 as an Inside Sales Coordinator for Off Highway Aftermarket Parts. His various positions were customer focused to include shop scheduling, warranty coordination, and sales processing.

In 2009, Marcell became the Customer Service Manager for the Automotive Technology Product Group, where he set up a customer service call center and process implementation as a result of a company merge. “In his almost 3 year tenure as Customer Service Manager, Ben has helped bring the AMT Group service level from the low 50 percent up to 95 percent on most key account,” comments Maria Buchner, Supply Chain Manager, and Marcell’s previous supervisor. “Marcell is a key asset in our organization and was a key player in new customer launches and changeovers for key customers.”

Marcell will be reporting to Tom Rafferty, National Sales Manager who remarks, “He already knows many of our customers, and we look forward to the contributions his solid experience will provide toward the growth of our aftermarket sales business.”

Cali has been with ZF Services North America for more than 12 years where he began as a Product Manager for Light Truck. He then took on sales for that unit later in his career as well as for Passenger Car, where he was responsible for launching the Aftermarket Automatic Transmission program.

Cali progressed through the sales ranks at ZF before he was the National Sales Manager for Retail for the last two and a half years, where his accomplishments included bringing on the key lift support business while continuing to grow the sales channel by 20% through the establishment of product managed customer driven processes.

To the new position, Cali brings with him education and knowledge of the market, and a level of aggressiveness needed to advance product further. John Edwards, President ZF Services North America, comments, “With Mark’s background and education in marketing coupled with his extensive sales experience we are poised, under his leadership, to meet and exceed our customers wants, needs and desires. Please join me in congratulating and supporting Mark in his new position heading up the Product and Marketing Department at ZF Services North America, LLC.”
