Delphi appoints Barnes VP for Global Independent Aftermarket

Delphi Product & Service Solutions announced that Craig Barnes will join Delphi as vice president of the global independent aftermarket, effective July 1, 2012. Barnes was the former senior vice president of merchandising, pricing, global sourcing, marketing, and inventory & demand planning at CARQUEST, a leading automotive aftermarket distributor in North America.

Barnes will be responsible for growing the global independent aftermarket business with a strong focus on the customer with regard to all aspects of the business including parts, diagnostics and service solutions. Prior to joining CARQUEST in 2009, Barnes served as vice president of merchandising for brake systems, undercar, global sourcing and quality for AutoZone, Inc., a leading retailer and a leading distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories with more than 4,800 stores in the US, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. During his more than 20 year career at AutoZone, Barnes progressed from counter sales to vice president.
