Team Allied Distribution installs Autopart by MAM Software

Oct. 31, 2014
Team Allied Distribution has successfully deployed MAM Software's Autopart software as its new business management system.

MAM Software announced that Team Allied Distribution has successfully deployed Autopart software as its new business management system.

Founded in the 1960s, Team Allied is the largest independent warehouse distributor of automotive exhaust in the United States. With 17 warehouse locations in 11 states, they decided to update their business management system to a modern platform to position the company for continued success going forward.

The new software gives them advantages over their previous system, such as a modern cloud-enabled catalog solution provided by Autopart’s integrated application, Autocat+.

“MAM Software really designed a more effective catalog,” said Jason Hall, Marketing Director of Team Allied. “The updates are much faster, usually processed and loaded into the catalog in a couple of days - not weeks or months. At our request, Autocat+ separates California converters from the other 49 states to prevent the accidental sale of the wrong part. Also, we have control over the grouping of the parts into the categories and groups, allowing us to deploy the catalog in a way that best matches our business practice.”

The net results are a more effective sales process. Since the change, customer catalog usage on their B2B site has increased five to six times over the previous catalog.

The new system offers Team Allied several other advantages. Point-of-sale is more robust, providing clear visibility to all branches’ inventory and automating transfers with a couple of clicks. Inventory forecasting, integrated General Ledger and Accounts Payable, Reporting and Pricing capabilities are stronger and more flexible with the new technology.

“We consider it an advantage to have them as a business partner,” said Patrick Maley, President of MAM Software. “They are a leader in automotive distribution and they have contributed to the strength of our business solution. We look forward to working with them in the coming years.”
