EV, ADAS tutorials to highlight SAE International Brake Colloquium and Exhibition

 Two tutorials have been added to enhance attendee experiences at the 36th Annual SAE International Brake Colloquium and Exhibition.

WARRENDALE, Pa./PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Two tutorials have been added to enhance attendee experiences at the 36th Annual SAE International Brake Colloquium and Exhibition, which will be held Oct. 14-17, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs, Palm Desert, Calif.

The tutorials will include:

Tutorial: An Introduction to Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Sunday, Oct. 14
3 p.m. – Room Salon A-F 

The move toward more systems to assist drivers as we transition to fully automated vehicle has an impact on the development of brake systems. In order to create the brake systems of the future, this tutorial is designed to share an introductory look at the fundamental on Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Tutorial: An Introduction to Electric Vehicles
Sunday, Oct. 14
4:40 p.m. – Room Salon A-F

The move toward Electric Propulsion Systems has an impact on the development of brake systems. In order to create the brake systems of the future, this tutorial is designed to share an introductory look at the fundamental on electric vehicles.

In addition, the event will feature a panel discussion titled, "High Performance Brake Systems for Cars Technical Presentations with Panel Discussion" on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. in Room Salon G-L. This session will focus on brake systems for high performance sports cars and sedans. It includes new trends in brake system technology for performance vehicles, how they differentiate from standard brake systems, and the specific development challenges at component and system levels.

  • Keynote: Usage of Emission Reduced, Ceramic Plated Cast Iron Rotors on High Performance Cars – Donatus Neudeck, Porsche AG (Tuesday, Oct. 16 – 1:40 p.m.)

The Brake Colloquium & Exhibition explores the most up-to-date technical information on braking and brake systems for light- and heavy-duty OEMs and aftermarket customers through a three-day technical program exploring the latest in today's vehicles as we move increasingly toward autonomous and electric vehicles.
