Mark Shasteen, a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry, has joined CTDI as vice president of the company’s automotive business segment.

Mark Shasteen, a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry, has joined CTDI as vice president of the company’s automotive business segment. Most recently, Shasteen spent 13 years in a number of executive leadership positions with Delphi Corporation, a leading automotive products and service solution provider.

He started his career working for the Packard Electric Division of General Motors. Shasteen will report directly to the company’s chairman and CEO, Gerald J. Parsons.

“We are thrilled to have Mark join CTDI to help launch our Reman 8.0 solution to the automotive industry,” said Parsons. “He has a deep understanding of where the vehicle electronic component business is going, which now represents a large percentage of the cost of a new vehicle. He is the ideal person to help lead us forward.”

While CTDI is new to the automotive industry, it is a well-known and respected company with 38 years of experience providing engineering, remanufacturing and logistics service solutions worldwide for industry leading electronics suppliers and communications service providers. CTDI’s Reman 8.0 solution offers a fully integrated, one-stop service model, tailored to meet individual customer needs. CTDI’s Reman 8.0 solution is built upon its comprehensive electronics remanufacturing service portfolio and includes forward and reverse logistics, core management, component level repairs that meet OE standards, warranty screening and sustainable life-cycle solutions. Reman 8.0 is an innovative, end-to-end strategy for vehicle manufacturers and Tier One suppliers.

“Infotainment systems, dashboard component clusters, telematics and electronic components are changing the face of the industry,” explained Shasteen. “The increasingly complex advances in automotive electronics technology necessitate a new approach to service and reman. I’m excited to help introduce CTDI to the automotive industry and introduce the total service strategy that Reman 8.0 provides to vehicle manufacturers and Tier One suppliers.”

CTDI will bring its electronics remanufacturing total service solution to the automotive industry at AAPEX 2013 in Las Vegas, November 5-7 at booth #4075. For more information, visit ctdi.com or phone 610-436-5203.
