Automechanika Shanghai will take place Dec. 9-11, 2009 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China. This year there continues to be an overwhelming demand from industry exhibitors with over 2,300 companies from 24 countries and regions signed up for the show.

Automechanika Shanghai will also continue to feature a series of value-added fringe programs for exhibitors and visitors to learn more about latest industry developments, market trends and to interact with industry experts and peers.

Automechanika Shanghai is organizing reputable fringe programs such as the Automechanika Academy, the Automechanika Matchmaking Forum, the International Forum and the Showcase of Service Outsourcing in the Manufacturing Industry, the Automobile Maintenance Equipment Dealer Convention and a Forum on China Auto Repair Industry and other concurrent events.

The Automechanika Academy will be held Dec. 9 and features these well-known industry speakers and topics:

One of the most anticipated fringe events is the 5th International Forum and Showcase of Service Outsourcing in the Manufacturing Industry running Dec. 9-11. Organized by the Shanghai Outsourcing Management Association and the Chinese Academy of Science & Technology Management (CASTM), the forum has lined up many leaders to discuss the industry’s most urgent issues. Speakers include José Galetto, Service Business Unit General Manager of Comau China, Professor Song Yunchang, General Manager of Sinopec Lubricant Company and Professor Li Wuwei, Honorary President of Shanghai Management Science Society and Vice-Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. The theme topic is “The Service Outsourcing Strategies and Practice of Chinese Large Manufacturing Enterprises in the Financial Crisis.”

Another popular fringe event is the Automechanika Matchmaking Forum. At this event, exhibitors can meet one-on-one with invited domestic and international key buyers to explore potential business opportunities. The Forum on Low Carbon and Zero Carbon Vehicle Technologies will explore the topic concerning low carbon vehicle technology.

On Dec. 10, the Shanghai Auto Maintenance Equip Association and Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd is organizing the 3rd Automobile Maintenance Equipment Dealer Convention and Forum on China Auto Repair Industry. A number of industry experts are invited to discuss the theme topic “Domestic demand and future growth.” Zhu Jun, Senior Auto Repair Engineer; Expert of Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China); Technical Director, Application and Service Committee of SAE-China will speak on the topic of “The application of diagnostic devices, testers and exhaust gas analysers for engine repair.”

Running concurrently at the show is the Summit of China Auto Electric and Electrical Appliances Industry event which will be held Dec. 10. Professor Sun Lijian, Professor of Finance; Vice-president, School of Economics, Fudan University will share an insight into the topic “Analyzing the current situation in China under the impact of the financial crisis – the opportunities and challenges for the Chinese enterprises.” The International Seminar for IMD (In Mold Decoration) in Automotive Interior 2009 will take place on the same day where speakers will introduce automobile IMD technology to the audience.
