The Auto International Association has selected the StopTech Touring Big Brake Kit for the 2006-2013 Volkswagen GTI as Best Import Performance Product for 2013.

The Auto International Association (AIA), which promotes trade in automotive products between the international automotive community and the North American aftermarket has selected the StopTech Touring Big Brake Kit for the 2006-2013 Volkswagen GTI as Best Import Performance Product for 2013.

The award was presented during the AAPEX show in Las Vegas, where Centric was also recognized by AIA for Best Marketing Campaign for its 2013 Centric Parts educational video and print ad campaign.

The StopTech Touring Big Brake Kit (BBK) was recognized for bringing high performance braking to a whole new market sector. It includes the same ultra-stiff patented StopTech calipers, StopTech Street Performance Brake Pads and StopTech Stainless Steel Brake Lines as the StopTech Performance BBK, and adds 1-piece StopTech Sport Rotors, which offer greatly increased performance over stock rotors. With the inclusion of larger diameter 1-piece StopTech Sport Rotors, the Touring BBK also offers a more affordable high performance braking option for more moderately priced sports car and sporty car platforms – in this case the popular VW GTI.

The 2013 Centric Parts ad campaign singled out by AIA features educational print ads that explain some common brake issues, and how Centric Parts products are best suited to solve those problems. The accompanying videos tell the story of Centric’s research and development program and how this results in the best brake components in the market. The three installments include dedicated ads for rotors, calipers and pads and can be viewed here.

In awarding the trophies, AIA’s Martin Gold noted Centric’s multiple wins over the years and that the wins have covered a wide range of categories. “This company is consistently providing support for AIA and these awards, and they always stand out in whatever category they enter,” Gold said.

The Centric Parts family has earned several product awards from AIA since its founding in 2000, as well as awards for best website, best catalog and personal awards for both Dino Crescentini, CEO of Centric Parts, and Centric Parts President Dan Lelchuk.

Centric Parts is a leading manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket brake components and systems for cars, work duty vehicles and performance vehicles under the Centric®, C-Tek®, PosiQuiet® and StopTech® labels.
