Forward Lift’s nationwide distributor and installer network now includes nine Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Lift Inspectors. These ALI Certified Lift Inspectors are qualified to provide professional inspections of any vehicle lift, regardless of manufacturer. Several more Forward Lift affiliates have enrolled in the certification program, which was created last year to give shop owners a trustworthy resource for finding qualified lift inspectors to complete mandatory annual lift inspections.

“Annual lift inspections are required under ANSI/ALI ALCTV-2011, the national standard covering vehicle lift operation, inspection and maintenance,” says Lance Jones, sales and brand manager for Forward Lift. “In supporting the ALI Lift Inspector Certification initiative, our distributors have equipped themselves with a valuable tool to serve their customers. Certified inspectors are able to identify lift issues before they become problems, which prevents expensive repairs, maintains shop productivity, and protects employees.”

Before the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program was launched, lift owners had little to rely on when selecting an inspector. Now, they have third-party verification that the Certified Lift Inspector is fully qualified to inspect any make or model of lift. An ALI Certified Lift Inspector can inspect a shop’s entire lift inventory at one time, regardless of the equipment manufacturer.

ALI Certified Lift Inspectors receive individual certification numbers that are listed in ALI’s online directory of Certified Lift Inspectors, on their certification patches and on the stickers they apply to lifts they inspect. Forward Lift distributors with certified inspectors on staff include:
