GCIA offers BMW repairer, insurer workshop

The Georgia Collision industry Association (GCIA) will present a BMW Insurer & Repairer Workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association in Atlanta.

The Georgia Collision industry Association (GCIA) will present a BMW Insurer & Repairer Workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association in Atlanta.

The workshop is designed to share repair information and quality standards with insurance companies and independent body shops to help ensure that BMW vehicles are repaired properly. More stringent government regulations in regards to fuel economy and crash standards are leading to advanced engineering techniques used to construct the body shells and technical know how is a must to make proper repairs.

The workshop will include a PowerPoint presentation with videos and photos; a demonstration of specialized tools and equipment; handouts; takeaways; props, parts and materials for viewing; and a GRAV aluminum front structure will be on display. A meal will be served from 6 to 7 p.m.
