From an owner: Why scanning can protect your shop

We find ourselves writing more and more about pre- and post-scans. But when one shop owner can share his story, it might be an even more powerful statement. ALLDATA looks at that in this new video with Patrick Porter.

We find ourselves writing more and more about pre- and post-scans. But when one shop owner can share his story, it might be an even more powerful statement.

Patrick Porter owns Porter’s Body Shop in Brookhaven, Miss., and spent time with ABRNand ALLDATA in this webinar focusing on vehicle scans from an owner’s perspective. It’s an honest conversation owners nationwide should be having.

He relates stories throughout the candid conversation of how vehicles have changed drastically over the last 10 to 15 years, what he needs his technicians to know about scanning and how he has taken the lead in his shop to set the example for his employees – and accordingly others in the industry.

While the focus for Porter starts with customer service, it also contributes to protecting his shop more.

“I can go to sleep at night knowing that we did everything we could to provide that customer with a complete and quality repair. I make sure that if they’re in a subsequent collision, which I hope and pray every day they’re not, that it’s going to work the way it’s supposed to work or better.”

Powerful words for every shop to adhere to. Watch the entire webinar here and see how an owner just like you implementing consistent pre- and post-scans for all of his customers.
