There's a completely new and exciting class of adhesive available to the collision repair industry and it's not just for bonding non-structural outer body panels.  Shawn Collins will demonstrate where this adhesive can be used and under what circumstances.  It will also examine advancements in vehicle engineering and how this adhesive is different from panel bonding adhesives.

Structural Connectivity - Understanding the Future of Automaker Joining Techniques:

Jason Scharton will join a panel of specialists with a variety of backgrounds in automotive joining to discuss the advanced structural joining approaches being used in modern automotive architecture. The panelists will have expertise in riveting, bonding, welding of aluminum, steel and mixed materials, and factory-level joining.

I-CAR: LIVE WITH 3M:

Shawn Collins will lead a live demonstration in two I-CAR sessions on the SEMA Collision Repair and Refinish Stage.  Collins will be replacing actual parts on a Ford F-150 structure, a door skin and a front apron tube, with rivets and structural adhesives.
