The Equipment and Tool Institute, a leading trade association dedicated to the creation of a vibrant automotive aftermarket, has named Brian Plott as Executive Director, effective immediately. ETI had previously announced the appointment of Greg Potter, to the newly created role of Chief Technology Officer.

This, combined with his deep industry knowledge and institutional tenure, makes Brian uniquely qualified to lead ETI successfully into the future as we continue to enable the success of our members via championing of collective interests in an environment of increasing vehicle complexity, rapid change and heightened concern over the safety and security of vehicle repair.”

Plott, 57, holds a Bachelor’s in Business from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He comes to ETI most recently from Marmon Holdings and has held a number of relationship focused roles in the Automotive Aftermarket that has included several iconic automotive focused brands such as Bear, Snap-on, OTC and Bosch. He has delivered dozens of OEM diagnostics focused programs and has deep experience with all channels of distribution in the Automotive Aftermarket.
