Members also discussed the new Federal Insurance Office (FIO), and the importance of the FIO.
ASA leaders made clear their support for the creation of the Federal Insurance Office and their opposition to attempts to repeal the requirement of an FIO report to Congress on insurance modernization. ASA members also asked that Congress ensure that the FIO will allow collision repairer input in the insurance modernization report.
Overall, congressional leaders and staff members were made aware of the insurance modernization report’s importance to collision repairers, and were receptive to these concerns.The Automotive Service Association is the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals.
