Van Tuyl Group provides management consulting services to 70 independently-owned large automotive dealerships including 36 dealership collision repair facilities. Partly because of its large collision industry footprint, the Van Tuyl Group has built, over time, an appreciation for the work performed by the National Auto Body Council and the positive recognition it brings to the industry.

In particular, the company has shown great enthusiasm about Recycled Rides, the NABC-sponsored initiative through which members refurbish donated vehicles and gift them to families in need and organizations dedicated to assisting others. As a result, the Van Tuyl Group has committed to donate 36 vehicles to the cause, testimony to the value it perceives the program to have.

“We’ll be donating one vehicle from each of our collision center locations,” explained Van Tuyl Director of Collision Business Development Rafael Hinojos, who will be managing the project on behalf of the group. “Our goal is to help NABC reach its long-term goal of 500 simultaneous vehicle donations in 2012.”

The project will be a collaborative effort by Van Tuyl Group stakeholders, including its collision center managers and technicians, its insurance partners, rental car partners, PPG Automotive Coatings and 3M. “Van Tuyl Group, Inc. and our dealer partners are committed to the industry and the communities in which we operate, so we want to partner with an organization like NABC,” said Van Tuyl National Collision Director Darren Huggins. “We are honored and humbled for the opportunity to contribute Recycled Rides to families who need a safe and reliable means of transportation.”
