“Several months ago our marketing department created and initiated a contest to bring our Facebook community of almost 2,400 together to create a jingle for our 2012-2013 ad campaign,” said LeVasseur. “We received a total of 26 legitimate entries and at the time of this release our total number of Facebook 'likes' have grown to 3,241.”

To boost the awareness of the campaign, LeVasseur and Keenan’s Marketing Director Craig Camacho spent time at the 94.1 WIP studios in Philadelphia and recorded a promo commercial of their own. “That was fun,” said Camacho, noting that the promo script changed a few times to lighten it up a bit. “Mike had the hard part having to remember the majority of the 60 second spot and I just had to sing like a fool which wasn’t out of the ordinary for me.”

The judging process was completed by four Keenan corporate employees, including both LeVasseur and Camacho, and took half a day to work out.

“We judged the jingle entries on five categories including originality, composition, creativeness, melody and lyrics and rated each category from one to twenty with twenty being the best score possible and after many hours we were very pleased with Alabama’s very own jingle connoisseur Brent Morgan’s first place winning jingle titled, We Gotchya," Camacho said. "We knew right away that the wining jingle would be used as the core of our TV broadcasting campaign while the second place winning jingle, Keenan Auto Body dot com created by Mark Degliobizzi and Brian Lafferty of The Jolly What of Delaware would be more fitting for our radio campaign. We posted the remaining entries on our You Tube page and asked our Facebook family to decide by voting for their choice of third place. We were very pleased with the votes resulting in the jingle, Horn won’t blow written by Tanya and Chris Williams of North Carolina."

Keenan has just completed a fully produced TV commercial around the winning jingle that will start airing on several different networks throughout the Philadelphia region on October 1and the second place jingle is running on Philadelphia’s 94.1 WIP. The winning jingle and commercial can be viewed on You Tube.
