HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Hi-Tech Collision & Glass Centers is the first business in 2009 to join the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle through their donation to the Collision Repair Education Campaign.
The Industry Leadership Circle distinguishes companies who annually donate above a certain amount, which is dependant on the donor’s industry segment. Hi-Tech Collision & Glass Centers, with nine locations in southern California, has contributed $5,000 to the I-CAR Education Foundation, meeting the threshold for a Collision Repair Business.
This donation will go towards the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign, providing scholarships and program grants that will create and support the next generation of entry-level collision repair technicians. To date, the I-CAR Education Foundation has awarded $500,000 in scholarships and grants.
”Promoting and funding positive change in the collision repair education system will require an extraordinary commitment from everyone within the collision industry,” says Scott Kruger, executive director of the I-CAR Education Foundation. “While we need businesses within all segments to make a donation, we also recognize the relative financial positions of different businesses. The Industry Leadership Circle is designed to recognize the extraordinary commitments of collision repair businesses making gifts of $1,000 or $10,000 with the same enthusiasm as a corporation making a $100,000-plus donation.”
