Golden State Collision Centers and Bodycraft Collision Centers, based in Granite Bay, Calif., merged operations Dec. 15 to form a new company in the Sacramento area that will be called Golden State Collision Repair Centers, a Bodycraft Company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Golden State owner Dave Finkelstein is the chief marketing officer of the combined companies, according to a company press release. Bruce Mackie, owner of Bodycraft, is president.
The merged company has 19 locations including facilities in Antelope, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Folsom Lake, Lincoln, Orangevale, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, Roseville, Sacramento, Shingle Springs and Yuba City, according to a list of locations on its website.
A letter on the company's website says: "Our decision to merge was a strategic one with the intent of creating a new entity whose shared vision and focus parallel one another. We are unwavering in our focus of unmatched service, distinction for excellence in collision repairs and re-investment in the communities where we operate.
"While a merger can bring about change, the foundation of company – “customer service is no accident” – remains. Our merged entity, Golden State Collision Repair Centers, A Bodycraft Company, will continue to place a priority on our customers and our service to them. We will continue to work diligently with our insurance partners to ensure their objectives are achieved. We will continue to invest in the training and education of our team to ensure the highest level of repair for our customers."
