Recycled Rides is a community awareness project where members of NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to people in need. Gerber Collision & Glass is refurbishing a 2009 Chevy Cobalt, donated by Farmers Insurance. This is Gerber's eighth vehicle donation to families and community service organizations.

"We plan to refurbish more cars for needy families and/or charitable organizations serving within the community not only in the Chicago area but around the country," said Jim Maliszewski, Director Program Management & Centralized Support for Gerber Collision & Glass.

Gerber partnered with SOS Children's Villages of Illinois, a charity which provides a viable alternative to traditional foster care. Children who come to live at SOS stay with their biological brothers and sisters in a private home.
