C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts, an auto body repair company with five locations in Illinois and Northwest Indiana, will hosted a grand opening event at its newest facility in Crown Point, Ind., from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
To celebrate, the company will feature its "Mother's Day Car for a Cause" initiative and will donate a 2006 Ford 500 vehicle to a mother in need of reliable transportation for Mother's Day.
C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts is currently working to help The St. Jude House Family Violence Prevention Center and Shelter in Crown Point, Indiana, to identify an appropriate candidate. The St. Jude House serves as a safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts said it is also working with various local businesses to sponsor the vehicle donation to help supply gas cards, insurance, oil change certificates, tire rotations and other miscellaneous car expenses. The winner will be awarded the keys and gifts at the Grand Opening celebration.
“Vehicle maintenance can be very costly, and supplying these items makes this vehicle truly a gift,” C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts said.
