CARSTAR adds more than 50 independent shops in 2012

CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts said it expanded its network in 2012 by adding more than 50 independent body shops to its franchise system.

CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts said it expanded its network of collision repair facilities in 2012 by adding more than 50 independent body shops to its franchise system in North America.

This past year, CARSTAR expanded its presence in major markets such as Seattle, Tacoma, Houston, San Antonio, Chicago, south and central Florida, Cleveland, upstate New York and Milwaukee, and established store networks in Southern California and Georgia.

In Canada, CARSTAR said it expanded its presence in Ontario and Quebec, and will continue that expansion early in 2013 with the addition of 25 stores in Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada, including a transition of a number of NAPA Autopro facilities.

“Our goal is to grow our independent MSO network with the top body shop owners in our target markets,” said David Byers, CEO of CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts. “We offer independent owners a unique option that allows them to keep their business but receive all of the resources we offer, like purchasing programs, rebates, insurance programs, training, store management support and national marketing and branding, that help them compete in today’s marketplace.”
