Americas (A&AC) has presented its Most Influential Women

in the Collision Repair Industry (MIW) awards.

AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas (A&AC) presented its Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry (MIW) awards during a recognition ceremony in San Antonio. This is the thirteenth year for the awards.

Award honourees follow in the footsteps of more than seventy past recipients. They hold leadership positions within industry associations, shop operation and service sectors of the US and Canadian collision repair industry. They were selected for their contributions to the organizations they represent as well as the automotive industry at large and their respective communities.

They are:

  • Kim Parson – President, Automotive Collision Technologies Inc. – Randallstown, MD
  • Catherine Mills – Executive Director, Florida Autobody Collision Alliance – Orange Park, FL
  • Kim Roberts – Manager, Fix Auto – Barrie, Ontario

“The collision repair industry’s collective strength, image, and long-term sustainability, is dependent on individuals who have a passion, a vision and a vested interest in its future,” said Margret Kleinsman, General Manager for AkzoNobel A&AC Americas. “The leaders we are honoring with this prestigious award all share these qualities and are among the top tier of those who continue to make this a vital industry.”

The MIW program was established in 1998 with the first awards being presented in 1999 by AkzoNobel to both recognize and promote the contributions of key leaders representing a valuable resource pool for the collision repair industry. The MIW program also enables scholarships, administered thru I-CAR, to be provided to deserving women seeking to advance their education and pursue career opportunities within the collision repair industry. Over MIW’s 14-year history, 69 women have received MIW awards.

The ‘by-invitation-only’ celebration event was held July 19th at the San Antonio Convention Center, The program coincided this year with the I-CAR Inter-Industry Conference and Collision Industry Conference (CIC) events.
