The recognition came during a special industry recognition program hosted by AkzoNobel on July 19, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

  • Keenan Auto Body – Clifton Heights, Pa.
  • Enterprise-Rent-A-Car – St. Louis, Mo.

“Corporate sustainability is, at its core, a long-term commitment to implementing business practices that meet today’s needs for profitability, personnel development and environmental stewardship; yet at the same time keeps a focused eye on the impact these decisions will have on the future,” said Mike Shesterkin, Director of Sustainability and New Business Innovations for A&AC Americas. “The 2012 winners of the FIT Sustainability Award have all taken different approaches to achieving this goal, but collectively share in the passion and pursuit of global sustainability, with leadership that has paved the way for others to follow.”

The FIT Sustainability Award program was created in 2009 and serves as the umbrella under which the Most Influential Women (MIW) program operates. MIW was established in 1998 to recognize and advance the contributions of women in the collision repair industry. The remarkable industry popularity of MIW, which recognizes individuals, helped serve as a catalyst for the development of the FIT Sustainability Award and its focus on the contributions of key corporate leaders within the collision repair industry.

The by-invitation-only program was held at the San Antonio Convention Center. It coincides with the I-CAR Inter-Industry Conference and Collision Industry Conference (CIC) events.
