The MANN+HUMMEL Group, based in Ludwigsburg, Germany, has signed a binding agreement to acquire the companies Jack Filter Lufttechnik and Jack Filter Hungaria. With the acquisition of Jack Filter, MANN+HUMMEL is expanding its product range primarily in the area of HEPA filters (HEPA = High Efficiency Particulate Air filter). No information about the purchase price has been released by either company.
MANN+HUMMEL is a globally operating, family-led company providing filtration solutions for automotive and industrial applications, clean air for interiors and the sustainable use of water. The product portfolio of Jack Filter, a family-led company founded in 1947, further expands the extensive MANN+HUMMEL offerings. The managing partner of Jack Filter, Alexander Gaggl, is taking on a management role in the global Intelligent Air Solutions business area at MANN+HUMMEL. The acquired companies specialize in the production and sales of air filters for ventilation, air conditioning and cleanroom technology. The companies have sales of some 10 million euros and currently employ around 100 people.Expanded product portfolio and complementary customer relationships
The competencies and customer relationships of Jack Filter and MANN+HUMMEL are complementary. In the area of cleanroom technology, Jack Filter focuses on the development of products for the pharmaceutical, semiconductor and food industries as well as medical technology. The main areas of application in ventilation and air conditioning technology are the automotive industry, office buildings and hotels, schools and shopping malls. The two companies combine the best filtration solutions for the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) market.
Reasons for the merger With this takeover, MANN+HUMMEL now has better access to additional HVAC market segments as well as two state-of-the-art production facilities in Austria and Hungary.
