Crashed cars and recycled cars share the limelight- all for a good cause --  at the National Auto Body Council’s booth at NACE/CARS 2014 in Detroit, July 31-August 1.  The vehicles are all part of the NABC’s signature community service programs designed to help promote a positive image of the collision industry.

Four vehicles will be donated to local families in the Detroit area as part of NABC’s Recycled RidesTM program in which collision repair facilities collaborate with insurers, rental car companies, parts suppliers and manufacturers, to refurbish and donate vehicles to deserving families.

Local Detroit-area fire departments will be participating in demonstrations of NABC’s First Responder Emergency Extrication (FREETM) program which provides opportunity for first responders to practice life-saving extrication techniques on late model vehicles.

“Providing reliable transportation to those in need and helping to save lives are the most rewarding ways our collision repair industry can make a positive impact in local communities,” said Chuck Sulkala, NABC Executive Director. “We encourage NACE attendees to stop by our booth to experience Recycled Rides and the FREE program in action and to meet some of the individuals who will benefit from these programs.”

Conference attendees are invited to attend any of the scheduled events at NABC’s booth 17043.
