War veteran receives NABC recycled ride

Jason Wilson, a US Army Iraq War Veteran, received a newly refurbished vehicle from through the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program.

Jason Wilson, a US Army 3rd Infantry Division Iraq War Veteran who served as a vehicle operator in Baghdad from 2009-2010, received a newly refurbished vehicle from West Loop Auto Body1 and State Farm Insurance, through the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program and The Chicago Veterans Organization.

The keys to the 2010 Toyota Corolla were presented to Jason at a ceremony held at West Loop Auto Body1, in Chicago, Ill. West Loop Auto Body1 is a multi-location collision repair company serving the Chicago area, and is affiliated with the 1Collision Network.

The National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides is a unique program in which insurers, collision repairers, paint suppliers, part vendors, and others collaborate to repair and donate vehicles to deserving individuals and service organizations in local communities throughout the country.

Jason served his country in the US Army from 2009-2011, and continues serving in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, while attending the Lincoln College of Technology, where he is studying to become an auto technician. 

State Farm Insurance donated the 2010 Toyota Corolla which was refurbished by West Loop Auto Body1 technicians. Vehicle parts, materials, and services were also donated by Axalta, Finishmaster, Grossinger Autoplex Auto Group, Dent Recon, Factory Motor Parts-Chicago, Chicago Auto Recon, Car Quest Auto Parts, LKQ, and Chicago Wheel Service. 

Drew Passaglia, West loop Auto Body1 owner commented "In observance of Veteran's Day, this vehicle for Jason represents the appreciation West Loop Auto Body1 has for his services, as well as all the US Military personnel serving our country."      

State farm agent Linda Mitchell commented "State Farm is proud to partner with the National Auto Body Council, as well as West Loop Auto Body1, for this Recycled Ride event, as the mission of State Farm is to help people manage the risk of everyday life, and recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams."

Vehicle recipient Jason Wilson gratefully added "I am honored and privileged because as you all know, when you come home from the service, and try to get your life back together...I just want to thank everybody for a dream come true."
