The vehicle donation is part of Recycled Rides, a unique program developed by the National Auto Body Council in which insurers, collision repairers, paint suppliers, parts vendors and others collaborate to fully refurbish and donate vehicles to deserving individuals and service organizations in local communities throughout the country. The Chevrolet Malibu will be presented to the family wrapped in a giant bow at the Service King facility in Queen Creek on Friday.
“Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted,” said Mark Turner, Service King’s Market Vice President. “We are proud to offer our time and resources to transform lives and touch families and organizations across the country. While the gift of a vehicle provides a practical means of transportation, what it really provides is hope.”
While raising four children as a single mother, the recipient of the donated vehicle is on track to earn her college degree in family and human development.
“Farmers Insurance is proud to join with the National Auto Body Council and Service King in providing a safe and reliable vehicle to a very deserving individual,” said Gerald Poirier, National APD Manager for Farmers Insurance. “This donation is another demonstration of our commitment to serving local communities.”
