Gerber Collision & Glass opens new repair location in Battle Creek, Michigan

The Boyd Group Inc. announces the June 12, 2015 acquisition and opening of a collision repair center in Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Boyd Group Inc. announces the June 12, 2015 acquisition and opening of a collision repair center in Battle Creek Michigan. The center has about 19,000 square feet of production space and previously operated under the name Phil Smead's Auto Body.

"This is Gerber's second location in Battle Creek and adds to our strong presence in the state of Michigan," said Tim O'Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "As we continue to expand in the state we are able to better serve our customers and insurance partners."

"This is a large facility that has been serving the Battle Creek community since 1980," Mr. O'Day added. "We will maintain the high level of customer service and quality that has been established over the past 35 years and that we are known for at all our Gerber repair centers. Our portfolio continues to grow and we are on track to meet our targeted 2015 growth rate of 6 to 10 percent through single store additions."
