Boyd Opens New Repair Center in Georgia

Jan. 1, 2020
The former Lamar’s Main Street Collision Center in Douglasville is now a Gerber Collision & Glass shop.
The Boyd Group Inc. has opened a new repair center in Douglasville, Ga., located approximately 20 miles west of Atlanta. The repair center is approximately 29,500 square feet. It was previously operated as Lamar's Main Street Collision Center and now operates under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name. With this addition, the Boyd Group owns and operates 15 repair centers in Georgia, which brings the total current number of U.S. locations in operation to 214 including those branded as Autocrafters Collision and Hansen Collision and Glass.

"This new center is located on the very active corner of U.S. Highway 78 and State Route 92 and will allow us to further expand our reach to new and existing clients," said Tim O'Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "This acquisition increases our footprint in Georgia and will help us achieve our goal of 6-10% growth in single-location additions this year."

The Boyd Group is continuously looking to add new collision repair locations to its existing network in Canada and the U.S.
