BASF is returning to NACE Automechanika 2018 as a sponsor of the MSO Symposium for the 7th year. The automotive paint supplier is supporting the educational event for multi-shop owners and operators on Thursday, August 9.
The symposium will provide insight on the future of the collision repair industry by key members of the automotive industry. The day will include an industry snapshot, industry trends and future projections, a talent development panel, an OEM certification panel, a segment on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), MSO panels and more. In addition, John Shoemaker, BASF Business Development Manager, will conduct two classes at NACE Automechanika:
  • Practical Production Processes (Wednesday, August 8, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.) — This presentation will focus on if a vehicle is ready to be put into the repair process. Shoemaker will cover damage assessment, repair step sequencing, and the validity of those steps to create a positive workflow in the shop.

  •  Basics of Blueprinting (Thursday, August 9, 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.) — This class focuses on completing a damage appraisal and identifying all damage and other details that result in a final bill that best reflects all work performed. Shoemaker will also present this course at the upcoming SEMA 2018 show this fall.

CARSTAR will also be hosting Shoemaker at their NACE Automechanika booth on Thursday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. to present "Essential Estimating for KPIs".

“Knowledge is more critical in our industry than ever before. That’s why BASF continues to support educational endeavors like the MSO Symposium,” said Chris Kugler, BASF National Strategic Accounts Manager. “We are dedicated to growing MSOs and all of our customers through our Vision+ solutions and education between events like the symposium and our industry experts like John Shoemaker.”
