The line-up for the IBIS 2014 – the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium – is entering its final stages as support for the event continues to gather pace.

The IBIS Global Summit, which has confirmed Thatcham Research as its 10th official partner, has already received huge interest with only a limited number of delegate places still available.

IBIS conference director, David Lingham, said, ‘The theme for IBIS 2014 is ‘Best Practice’. The programme is now almost complete with contributions already secured from Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Middle East, UK and the USA.

‘We will hear from a cross section of the industry including training organisations, bodyshops – both single site and networks, standards bodies, vehicle manufacturers, industry experts and accident management companies.’

David continued, ‘We will look at planning your people strategy for the future, examples of best practice across the globe, why accident management is so important to a vehicle manufacturer, the impact of telematics on the industry, what a bodyshop of the future might look like and more.

‘The IBIS team and I, along with our 10 official partners, are very much looking forward to this year’s summit in Barcelona, Spain.’

IBIS 2014 takes place at the spectacular Hotel Arts Barcelona, Spain on 19–21 May 2014. The 10 partners already to have pledged their support to the event include 3M, AkzoNobel, Audatex, Automechanika, Axalta, EMM, Enterprise, Innovation, Quindell and Thatcham Research.

About IBIS
Since its inception in 2001, IBIS - the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium - has become firmly established as the leading global conference and networking event for collision industry leaders and influencers.

The inaugural summit was held at the Celtic Manor Resort Hotel in Wales in 2001 and hosted 120 delegates from 12 countries. Since then, IBIS has been held at various venues around the world and annually attracts over 350 delegates from more than 35 countries.

Alongside the IBIS Global Summit also sits an increasing number of ‘regional’ events designed to bring global knowledge to local markets. Regional events in 2013 included IBIS Poland, IBIS Russia and IBIS Middle East. Further events including IBIS Turkey are already scheduled to take place in 2014.
