The collision repair industry is showing up to attend the 2018 Midwest Auto Body Trade Show in Des Moines, Iowa on Feb. 16-17.

There is a huge demand for education, and the Iowa Collision Repair Association is making sure 2018’s trade show is focusing on the current climate of the industry. In addition to a full slate of education and a packed trade show floor, there will be two notable guest speakers at this event.

Iowa Insurance Commissioner Doug Ommen will speak at the Saturday general session, and Texas Attorney, Todd Tracy, who won the $42 Million John Eagle lawsuit in Dallas, Texas will be the keynote speaker. Tracy’s ‘Anatomy of a Lawsuit’ explains the Texas lawsuit and how shops can be proactive to “keep sharks like me out of your business,” Tracy states.

Over 70 booths will fill the trade show floor to bring new technology, new products and new opportunities to the collision repair industry.  The educational line up concentrates, with laser vision, the importance of doing proper repairs. The seminars and panel discussion start Friday afternoon. Education for technicians and management continues Saturday morning.

This multi- faceted educational line up brings clarity and opens up the pathway for the collision repairer next steps. These classes are designed to help shops and industry stakeholders work together to integrate positive change in the industry. See our website for a complete listing of classes at http://iowacra.com/education.

Among the education and trade show, seven community colleges will compete in the Midwest Community College Refinish Contest. LKQ Corporation generously donates car hoods to colleges for the contest. This has become an important tradition, welcoming colleges to bring their students and to experience the entire show.

Friday night will be the perfect time for the Midwest Collision Industry to meet, catch up and network with all speakers and industry stakeholders at the Trade Show Welcome Reception.
