Cathy Bonner, CEO of Service King, was featured this month on CEO, a Dallas public television feature about North Texas business leaders.

"The collision business in Texas is a $3 billion dollar a year business and we cover 70 percent of that," Bonner said. "And next year is the year for Service King to go national."

Service King, a $200-million company, has 47 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Austin. Before joining Service King, Bonner owned and sold three companies and served in the 1991-1994 cabinet of Governor Ann Richards as executive director of the Texas Department of Commerce.

Bonner also discussed the benefits of learning a trade in today's economy and why women should consider a career in collision repair. "It's a great career path for women, but something they would probably never think about," she said. Bonner, a Dallas native, also discussed women's rights, business development and cancer research
