INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – Kent Automotive has become the newest member of the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance and will provide training to industry members and customers that will allow them to apply for I-CAR Gold Class points, and Kent has also been approved as a National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Training Provider.

As a new member of the Industry Training Alliance, Kent will focus the next few months on rolling out its first course – Automotive Plastic Repair. A select group Kent field trainers and managers from the U.S. and Canada have been trained to become instructors in Automotive Plastic Repair using the course agenda outlined by Kent and approved by I-CAR. This program is a strict course developed under the high standards of the ASE Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) Program. Approval by the Industry Training Alliance allows the recipients (those that attend and pass a written test) to apply for I-CAR Gold Class Points.

“We are extremely proud to become a member of the prestigious Industry Training Alliance and look forward to expanding our course selection beyond Automotive Plastic Repair,” says Matthew Brown, Director of Sales for Kent. “Our goal is to serve the Automotive Aftermarket Industry as best we can.”

Inquiries into course schedules and agendas should be made to the local Kent Automotive representative or by calling (888) YES-KENT.
