In the past, if you were to R&I more than one wheel in CCC, the first wheel would pay labor, but the additional wheels would show as included. Same goes if you replaced a wheel. This was frustrating and the DEG approached CCC many times asking for a fix to the problem.
The response was that to repair the issue would require an application change, meaning the program itself would need to be fixed. But in late 2014 CCC/Motor fixed the problem — well at least we thought so!
Currently if you go into CCC and R&I one wheel, you will receive around .2 labor and if you R&I additional wheels they too will pay around .2 labor for R&I. HOWEVER, if you combine a replacement and also an R&I, then the additional wheels will show as included!! So if you replace the left front wheel then R&I the right rear wheel, the left front wheel will pay labor but the right rear wheel shows the labor included. That is not how it is supposed to be.
The DEG recently received an inquiry that brought this to our attention so we reached out to CCC for an explanation. The first response was that to repair the issue would take an application change. Didn’t we just do an application change?
We went back to CCC and explained the application change had been done. The response was that yes, the application had been done and they were able to fix this issue for this vehicle. The DEG went back to CCC again asking why they would fix this issue on one vehicle, but not throughout the entire system. The response was CCC had addressed the issue for this vehicle and is currently seeking a resolution. Shortly after the last response CCC replied with the response below:
All vehicles/chapters with R&R wheel including R&I wheels have been identified and fixed. R&R wheel no longer includes R&I wheels. The changes will be available on 05/08/2015 for electronic customers or June 2015 for DVD customers.
After your June update, the system will reflect the proper labor for R&R, R&I OR R&R/R&R!

The Database Enhancement Gateway, also known as The DEG, is an initiative developed to help improve the quality and accuracy of collision repair estimate through proactive feedback from the collision repair industry and other "end users" to the information providers (IPs) that supply the databases for the various estimating products.
