Sixteen member volunteers were on hand to staff the WIN booth, sign up new members and support the various “pop-up” events that were announced via WIN’s social media channels throughout the show. Both men and women from the industry took advantage of the NACE membership special that was offered, which allowed them to join the organization for both the remainder of 2015 and 2016 at a special rate.
In addition to being an exhibitor on the show floor, WIN was represented at events throughout the week including the NABC National Auto Body Council, CIC Collision Industry Conference, AMI Automotive Management Institute Celebration of Excellence, Enterprise reception and CREF Collision Repair Education Foundation Golf Fundraiser.
"It was encouraging to see the strong attendance of WIN members at NACE 2015 as well as the industry support we received. WIN continues to play a significant role in promoting and highlighting the important contributions women provide to our industry," stated WIN Outreach Committee Co-Chair, Marie Peevy.
To continue the momentum built at NACE, WIN will be present at several major events during the remainder of 2015 including the CREF Collision Repair Education Foundation's Cars, Careers & Celebrities Event, the SEMA Show and numerous corporate conferences.
Michelle Sullivan, Outreach Committee Co-Chair stated, "Industry awareness of WIN programs and scholarship activities is increasing as we are being invited to participate in various trade shows and industry functions. As the role of women in the collision repair industry grows, so does our WIN platform."
