Transtar Autobody Technologies announced that Brett Penzkofer joined the company as President, reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Tim Bowes. Prior to joining Transtar, Penzkofer served in his last position as Vice President and Controller of Meritor, a global OE and aftermarket manufacturer of axles, brakes and drivelines. He held various financial and operational positions during his 7 years at Meritor and previous 15 years with Chrysler. Penzkofer received a BA from Michigan State and MBA from Wayne State University. Charlie Fuqua, past President, announced his plan to retire, effective December 2013. Fuqua will remain with the company to assist with the transition. Over the past 23 years, Fuqua significantly grew the company through product line expansion, establishment of the current distributor network, and implementation of the company’s quality initiative, ISO 9001. “Charlie has provided great leadership to the organization for more than two decades. We’re excited that Brett has joined the Transtar team and will build upon his successes,” said Bowes.
